Expiry date of Module B?

Modified on Mon, 16 Sep at 7:07 PM

Generally a Module B certificate will not expire as its related to the technical design of a product. However in some cases regulators have imposed a regulatory expiry date to the certificates. We have included, for the product scope below, the xpiry date or certificates under Module D of all our registers:

FPR - EFCI Register

No expiry date required by law, NoBo coordination group implemented a 3 or 5 year expiry date for certificates. The date is to be chosen by NoBos.

Whilst we dont agree with an expiry date and dont believe it is required by the regulation, our certificates have a 5 year expiry date. If the technical design after 5 years still complies with the FPR requirements, recertification is administrative.

RCD - EMCI Register

No expiry date

DWD - H2O Register

5 Years possibly required by law for Module B, clarification being sought.
